How a WCB claim works at Crowchild

  1. 1

    Report the injury

Tell your employer and report the injury to WCB-Alberta. If you already have a claim number, bring it and we can start treatment right away; if not, we can be your first point of contact, without a physician referral.

  2. 2

    Assessment

A physiotherapist assesses the injury and how it affects your job, and sends the required report to WCB.

  3. 3

    Treatment and progress reports

Treatment is billed to WCB under your claim. We keep your case manager informed with progress reports.

  4. 4

    Return to work

We help plan modified duties and a graded return, based on what your job involves.

More about the claims process is on the WCB-Alberta website.
